Food Supplies

Yes! There are usually donated supplies you can request. All items are first come first serve and must be picked up from the Volunteer Centre (VC).

At the start of each month, the VC will send out an email with details on what cat food they have in stock.  If you are interested in any of the items shown, please click reply to this email (donations@torontocatrescue.ca) and list the specific items you would like to have put aside for you. You can also check the list throughout the month to see if there are any new arrivals.

Remember to not switch your foster cats regular food over to a new brand/protein without introducing it slowly. You may cause the cat to have gastrointestinal issues.

The VC is volunteer run and there is usually only one volunteer per shift. We recommend that you call ahead to make sure someone is here when you arrive. 416-233-0207. You can also email vc@torontocatrescue.ca to receive an automated response with this week’s hours.

Due to the high demand for donations, priority is given to foster cats already in the program. With more demand than supply, our foster program strength heavily depends upon new foster homes providing their own basic supplies for their first foster cat.

When you pick up your supplies, please only take what has been put aside for you.
